Camp Childress

The Frank Childress Reservation, located near Diamond, Missouri, sits on 180 acres. It is complete with a year-round multipurpose building that Scouts and Scouters can utilize for training and fellowship. The camp includes campsites named after Rudyard Kipling’s “Jungle Book” characters, a large swimming pool, a dining hall, Pirate Ship, Old West Fort, Old Mine, Indian Village, and a stocked trout pond for fishing.

Home to many unique features!
FCR is also home to many hiking and biking trails and abounds with native plant and animal life. Packs and Troops can utilize the camp’s facilities year-round. Campers can stay in teepees, fish the trout pond, check out the mine and pan for gold, or have a lot of other outdoor fun and adventure. The Fort and Pirate Ship are also open and available for exploration.
