Through the financial support of donors, businesses, United Ways, revenue from the Popcorn Sale and our Endowment Fund, the Ozark Trails Council is able to deliver a quality program to more than 16,000 youth and volunteers throughout our 31 county area. Fiscally Sound Spending
Year-round camping properties at Camp Arrowhead in Marshfield, Missouri. Frank Childress Scout Reservation located near Diamond, Missouri, Cow Creek located on Table Rock Lake and Plagens Conservation Area in Pittsburg, Kansas. Nationally recognized summer camp programs that deliver the fun and excitement of Scouting. Over 2,500 young men attended Boy Scout Summer Camp, Cub Scout Resident Camp or Cub Day Camp in the Ozark Trails Council.
The fees for the Ozark Trails Council camping programs are lower than other youth serving organizations and remain low through Friends of Scouting support. Over $15,000 awarded to Scout families to attend a camping program through the Council campership program. Free accident and liability insurance is provided by the Council.
This coverage helps families, adult leaders, volunteers and chartered organizations to enjoy the Scouting program with insurance coverage provided. Training and support for adult volunteers and leaders. This includes basic and advanced trainings, safety trainings and monthly Roundtable support in order to help unit leaders be successful in their roles. A Council service center and two outlying offices provide the “behind the scenes” support of the program.
This includes keeping advancement records, providing support for unit leaders, communicating the Scouting program to leaders through a monthly newsletter and more.
